This album by the dynamic Willy Ketzer Trio – Willy Ketzer (drums), Martin Sasse (piano) and Jens Foltynowicz (bass) is primarily a tribute to some of the great lady jazz singers and features special guest Cynthia Utterbach, a versatile and highly accomplished vocalist from New Jersey who has been based in Hamburg, Germany for the past eight years. It includes such imperishable standards as “S’Wonderful”, “Lover Man”, “Come Sunday”, “It Don’t Mean A Thing” and “Cheek To Cheek” played and sung with great commitment and vitality.
