Facts:
The seven selections on this live recording comprise a heartfelt homage paid to the great Julian "Cannonball" Adderley by his brother Nat. Prominently featured throughout is the superb alto saxophone work of Vincent Herring. The album opens, most appropriately, with a tremendously swinging version of "I'll Remember April" - the tune with which Cannonball made his spectacular New York début when he sat in at the Café Bohemia with the Oscar Pettiford group back in 1955. "Vincent Herring is in a particularly Cannonball Adderleylike mood. Nat is in witty, excitable form with punchy, speech-like phrases"
