This album by the Chastet, led by pianist Mike Hennessey, presents music from the library of Chas Burchell, the late British saxophonist and composer who founded the Chastet more than 30 years ago. The Chastet is continuing in the tradition initiated by Burchell with a boporientated library of standards plus originals by Burchell, Benny Golson, Gerry Mulligan, Horace Silver and Hank Mobley, with the highly accomplished tenor saxophonist and clarinettist Geoff Carter having taken over from Burchell.
