The enormously popular German pianist, Paul Kuhn, celebrated his 75th birthday year with this landmark album, on which his regular trio is augmented by the supremely accomplished singer, Greetje Kauffeld, plus trumpeters Benny Bailey and Dusko Goykovich, trombonist Jiggs Whigham and saxophonists Gustl Mayer and Peter Weniger. Greetje and the musicians perform with great flair, feeling and finesse and generate a hugely enjoyable swinging atmosphere.
